ACSM is a non-profit organization that offers certifications and continuing education for fitness professionals and clinicians in the health and fitness industry.

8. "Sitting Kills, Moving Heals" book
"Sitting Kills, Moving Heals," is a book by Joan Vernikos, that demonstrates how a sedentary lifestyle can contribute to poor health, obesity, and diabetes. It also touches on how health can drastically improve by continuous movement throughout the day.
Vernikos cites her original NASA research and provides an easy-to-follow action plan with gravity-challenging movements that are healthful. Examples of some movements include standing up frequently, stretching, and dancing.

Healthy lifestyle website that has articles on nutrition, fitness, health,style and beauty etc.
The LIVESTRONG "MyPlate Calorie Counter" offers free workouts, macronutrient goals, a meal plan and online support. Upgrades are available.
10. National Institute on Aging (NIA)
NIA mission is to lead large scientific efforts to understand the nature of aging and provides resources for prolonging life through healthy lifestyle habits. Great for our population!
On the website you can explore multiple tabs including 'health information,' 'research and funding,' and news and events.
11. Harvard School of Medicine
Explore articles on a variety of topics, including heart health, mind and mood, pain, staying healthy, cancer, diseases and conditions, as well as men's and women's health. The 'Staying Healthy' tab includes a section on Exercise and Fitness,' which features a large number of articles on the topic.

'Do Yoga With Me' is an online site with yoga videos, challenges, and programs for all levels. There are hundreds of streaming videos that are free of charge. For additional, premium content, you do have the option of becoming a subscriber. There are different subscription options including $10 per month or $99 per year. The subscription offers additional yoga classes, programs, challenges, instruction on poses, and access to a private facebook group.
13. Spark People
SparkPeople is a diet, weight loss, and overall healthy living site. The site offers a free calorie counter, integration with most wearable fitness trackers, message boards to find answers and support from the community of members and experts, fitness and health challenges, articles on health-related topics, an exercise library, and recipes.

ExRx.net is a resource for exercise professionals, coaches and fitness enthusiasts. Utilize the exercise library (nearly 1800 exercises), workout templates, fitness calculators and reference articles. Find programs targeted for beginners, older adults, women and kids.
